FAQs from the District Webmaster
The following Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), with answers, cover some
of the more common issues that can arise when using this website. The FAQs
are intended to assist users to navigate their way through the many menus
and categories of information. If the answer to your question is not here,
please contact the webmaster.
Q. Why do the lists of areas under the main headings sometimes seem
incomplete?
A. Remember to use the scroll bar down arrow to get a full screen view of
our drop down menus on the Home Page. Sometimes, it may appear that a
sub-heading has disappeared, but it is most likely just out of sight off
your screen.
Q. How do I find the district forms that are supposed to be available
on the website?
A. Click your mouse arrow on the "Download" at the top. The full list of
available forms then appears so you can scroll down to the one you want.
Double-click on the name of the relevant form to open it.
Q. Why isn't the front page quicker to load?
A. It actually has quite a lot of information to load up. The 'find'
facility for clubs and the District Calendar are both major features of the
website that we want immediately available for you. These require more time
to load than plain text.
Q. Why isn't everything I want to know about District activities here?
A. Please let the webmaster know if you have suggestions for additions to
the website. For specific information about District matters, please use
email links to the appropriate person via the Program or Avenue of Service.
Q. Can I use the information from the website for our club bulletin or
brochures?
A. Of course! You should always acknowledge sources of information and
that from the District website is no exception. Remember that the Rotary
International is also a great source of information for club bulletins and
brochures. They have a very good use policy. Please check their site for the
precise information about that.
Q. How do I contact the Committees in our District?
A. By using the email links available on the website. A printed District
and Club Information Guide has been issued to every club with a copy
available for every member. This will also help you.
Q. Why aren't there more details about clubs in the District?
A. The details for contacting a club and their meeting details are kept
as up-to-date as possible. All clubs have been asked to tell the Webmaster
if changes occur. Please contact the club before planning to attend a
meeting. There are links to the websites of those clubs that have one.
Q. Where are the telephone numbers?
A. Telephone numbers are only included on the website when specific
permission has been given and then only if it is needed. Rotarians outside
the District can use the RI Directory for fuller club contact details.
District 9650 Rotarians can also use the printed district directory.
Otherwise, please email your enquiry.
Q. There are no addresses for District Committees?
A. The preferred method of communication for district leaders and
committees is to email your recipient first to find out that information.
There is contact District Secretary at the bottom of each page
